$500 million by November! What will we do . . . .

In a stunning act of hypocrisy, Barack Obama has broken his pledge to accept public financing for the 2008 general election. Obama is the first presidential candidate to opt out of the public finance system instituted after the Watergate scandal. After claiming to run a campaign of change, it seems the only thing he is willing to change is his principles if it is the politically expedient thing to do. And in his announcement to disavow public funds, Obama falsely claimed that, "John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee are fueled by contributions from Washington lobbyists and special interest PACs." Let's set the record straight. According to the non-partisan FactCheck.org, the RNC receives 98.9% of our funds from voluntary contributions of grassroots leaders like you willing to make an investment in building a better future for America based on our conservative principles of lower taxes, limited government, strong national defense and individual freedom. The average donation to the RNC is $69. But the Obama Democrats are not letting the facts get in the way of their drive to recapture the White House and expand their majorities in Congress. Obama has already raised $295.5 million during the primaries, and will raise and spend as much as $500 million before November. Liberal special interests from Big Labor to the Sierra Club to MoveOn.org will spend close to ONE BILLION dollars to defeat Republicans and help Democrats seize total control of the federal government. There's only one way John McCain and our candidates can counter the Obama Democrats' massive haul of campaign cash . . . and that's through your generous support of the RNC. The RNC is the ONLY Party organization permitted by federal law to directly support John McCain after our National Convention. Your secure online contribution of $1,000, $500, $100, $50 or $25 today will help keep our Party on track to victory by providing the voter registration, campaign programs and direct financial support to elect Republicans from the courthouse to the White House. Your help today is absolutely vital. Please take a moment right now to visit the Let's Get This Right Slate Card by clicking HERE and contribute of $1,000, $500, $100, $50 or $25 $10 or even $1.00 to help elect Conservatives at all levels.

Money, Mitt Romney and Colin Powell---I'm low today

I've given, and I'll give some more, but would someone explain WHY they are spending so much money on weekly mass mailings to people who have given? And why--when I've added my name to people in Maryland who want to help--has no one contacted me, even through e-mail, asking me to do precinct work? Dick Morris was on O'Reilly last night and I think he is absolutely correct about the mistakes the Republicans are making. That last Obama ad where he claims credit for reforming welfare is an outright lie. Why don't we have an ad repudiating that in every state it's being run? Morris also advises that it's time we summarized the disaster Obama is proposing in everything from taxes--which will absolutely SINK our economy--to his stupidities as regards foreign affairs. I do hope the guy McCain put in to shake things up starts shaking fast because Obama is beyond flip-flops. He's all over the map on every issue and the recent Obama-directed attacks on McCain's service record is unconscionable. The left is actually trying to sell Obama as the "true" conservative. God help us.

And may I repeat what I've said before, Mitt Romney would be a disaster. If the Obamacrates can get away with the filthy, outright lies and denigration of McCain's service record (good grief--they're even trying to say McCain bombed the Forrestal!), think really hard about what they'll do to Romney's religion. The only message would be the history of Mormonism and you'd better believe they'd use it.

Finally, what is with Colin Powell? Even the king of knowing the inside scoop on everything, Robert Novac, says Powell will be endorsing Obama. It makes me physically ill.

he will spend and spend

He was able to outspend Hillary 3 to 1 and she won the ones in the end. Obama never won his Primary. McCain may have had his problems with his Primary but he actually won. The DNC is broke. I believe the RNC is doing much better. I actually plan to give to the RNC this year for the first time. They are getting my yearly donation to the DNC.
