Here is Part 1 of Bill O'Reilly's interview with Barack Obama, where Obama is pressed on the issue of the Surge Strategy in Iraq. While Obama finally admits the Surge has been successful "beyond our wildest dreams," he still refused to admit he was wrong in opposing the Surge.

Here is what really bothers me about Senator Obama. He refuses to answer questions unless they are scripted or asked by his liberal media friends. If he has nothing to hide why not just agree to sit and answer questions? Why NOT do town hall meetings? Why not let the American people ask him questions off the cuff? A POTUS should be able to answer questions no matter when or how they are asked. We as American people have a right to know who we may elect to the highest office in the land, we have a right to know everything about his associations and about his voting record or lack thereof. If the left wingers can grill Sarah Palin about so many irrelevant things, why can't we the people ask about Bill Ayers? Why is everything so off limits with Obama? To me, he is hiding stuff he doesn't want us to know about and THAT alone is VERY troubling. It is like he came from nowhere and expects us to just accept him at face value. Well his reluctance to face the American people makes me very suspicious of him AND his liberal agenda. I have to trust the person I give my precious vote to and I do NOT trust Senator Obama.

From a post in the Blogs for John McCain Forum by BFJM member Amy:
Several weeks ago, I posted that I suspected Bill O'Reilly was in the tank for Obama. After his show last night and his plans to stomp all over McCain's acceptance speech Thursday with an "exclusive" interview with Obama, I'm now convinced. I sent him the following e-mail and plan on copying this e-mail on every blog and political page that will accept it. I am beyond disgusted with the media in general and am deeply, deeply disappointed in people I used to admire. Fox News has gone to the dark side (did any of you see even Shepard Smith, in the middle of a hurricane, delightedly crow about Bristol's pregnancy? I used to think HE was a nice young man.), so I'm not sure where the heck this news junkie is going to get her news (suggestions anyone?). It's an ugly world and it's getting uglier.
My letter to Bill O'Reilly:
Sir:
I’m one of the millions who watch your show nightly. Last night, I switched to C-Span and after your decision to join the Obama team in preempting John McCain’s acceptance speech on Thursday, I will no longer be an O’Reilly viewer.
Yesterday, I heard your advertisements for the September 2nd show wherein you promised a show dedicated to the degradation of Sarah Palin and her 17 year old daughter. Turning you off may be as quixotic as Don Quixote defending Dulcinea, but to quote your chosen candidate, “Enough!” Remember the vile video where a group of teenage girls beat the hell out of one girl? That sickened me as much as anything I’ve ever watched on TV, and your jumping into the feeding frenzy against this young woman and the Governor of Alaska affects me in the same visceral way.
I now see that you are planning to stomp all over John McCain’s night by showcasing Barrack Obama. Tell me. Did you ask John McCain for an exclusive interview on Obama’s big night? Either you didn’t give McCain the same forum or if you did, McCain demonstrated his own sense of fairness by refusing. I'd say your scheduling is the very definition of "spin". I would, of course, not expect Mr. Obama to show the same sort of grace McCain showed, but I expected better from you. I assume that is the reason Obama accepted your long-standing invitation for an interview on this night of all nights. Chris Mathews must be proud.
I didn’t always agree with you, but I respected you. Not any more. There is no decency in attacking a 17 year old girl for either ratings or politics; and there is no fairness in giving Obama a stage to attack McCain on the night of his accepting his party’s nomination. McCain gave up the first night of his convention to do the right thing, and you are going to do everything you can to insure that his message is not heard or seriously diluted on the last night of the convention.
Can we assume that your 13-part series on Barrack Obama’s background has been cancelled?
Very sincerely indeed,
Amy K***

Here is the video of Hillary Clinton on Bill O'Reilly's show "The Factor" on Fox News.
O'Reilly says that her views sound socialist and Hillary responds.
It's great to see McCains competition respond to direct questions about the issues.
The interview will continue tommorow and they will discuss the War and American Security.
I suspect that some of the things said by Clinton will be useful in the coming weeks as she may back away from her comments or say that they were "Taken out of context". :)

Tonight on Bill O'Reilly's "The Factor" on Fox news, O'Reilly said that John McCain would appear on the show next week. O'Reilly said that he was prepared to ask McCain the tough questions including his stance on immigration.
McCain will be in New York on May 7th attending the New York Finance Reception.
John McCain returns to New York, and is joined by Mayor Rudy Giuliani, for a finance reception, cocktails and conversation, at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers on Wednesday, May 7 at 6:00 p.m.
I would bet that his interview with O'Reilly would occur on the same day.
Udpate: O'Reilly said,"I'm going to interview John McCain next week. It's going to be the same exact interview(as the Clinton interview). It's going to be me and McCain in little chairs and I'm going to ask him mano a mano and I'm going to ask him just as tough questions as...Blah..But I could go back in McCain's life and I could pull out stuff that he did crazy. But I'm going to ask him about immigration and all of that..."

Bill O'Reilly
During tonight's O'Reilly Factor(04/17/08), Bill O'Reilly said that John McCain would appear on the O'Reilly Factor "soon".
O'Reilly has complained in the recent past that McCain is reluctant to come on his show although McCain did appear on the show in May of 2007. Apparently McCain is still not afraid of Fox News or O'Reilly.
Both Obama and Clinton have refused to come on his show and have refused to attend any debates hosted by Fox News.
As soon as the date is confirmed we will post the details.

Here is a video segment which airs recent attacks made by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's pastor and spiritual mentor for 20 years, against Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Fox News. He calls Hannity "stuck on stupid," and makes the attacks in the same style as his previous attacks on the United States. The segment also includes a response from Sean Hannity.
