As the conservative right moves towards McCain, the "Middle" is getting smaller as the election draws near. There are only so many blocks of votes that one can pick from to build a victory in November.

Many voting blocks are still up for grabs and Obama seems to be scrambling to attract those with the most numbers. Problem is, McCain (an experienced politican) continues to beat him to it. Based on his recent flip flops, Obama seems to be a follower rather than a leader and the middle is starting to sense it.

Now that McCain seems to be winning over the Right, the middle seems to be the most logical target.

The "Middle" is finally starting to choose sides and McCain is at least +1 at this point as Obama seems to have some catching up to do. This is a victory for McCain.
