Jeremiah Wright on video

Here is video of today's appearance by Rev. Jeremiah Wright - Barack Obama's longtime pastor and spiritual adviser - at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. The first 25-26 minutes is a speech by Wright in which he talks a lot about the "Black Church Tradition," and says that the controversy about his remarks is not an attack on him, but an attack on the "Black Church."

At the 26:53 mark of the video, he begins to answer questions, the first one being about his blaming of America for 9-11. He only reinforced that stance by saying a nation cannot "do terrorism" to others and not expect to receive terrorism in return.

The Q & A period is filled with shocking statements by Wright, who is clearly a self-absorbed egomaniac who is relishing the national spotlight. We can only hope he will continue to hold court and share his bizarre views regularly from now to November, because as he does the questions grow as to how Barack Obama could allow himself and his family to be so closely associated with such a man and his racist radical views. Obama has said the statements of Jeremiah Wright constitute a "legitimate political issue." With every appearance, Wright reveals himself to be a shocking radical who gives voice to the blame America first crowd who so despises the history of our great nation. For Obama to have felt so comfortable with this man for so long speaks volumes about Barack Obama, his worldview, and where he would take America.
