Michelle Obama

It appears Michelle Obama insinuated that Gov. Sarah Palin is not "smart" in remarks she made to a fundraiser of Lesbian and Gay Activists in California. In the report below, you see that Obama spoke at the elitist gathering of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) leaders and activists and took a back-handed shot at Sarah Palin:

Dressed in a purple tank top with a purple floral skirt and black high heels, Obama first addressed a largely gay and lesbian audience at the home of Bryan Lourd, managing partner of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and Bruce Bozzi, Lourd’s companion. The event was described by the Obama campaign as an “LGBT Reception.”

Approximately 300 donors attended the fund raiser, which took place in the wealthy, Los Angeles neighborhood of Holmby Hills. Minimum contribution for a guest was $1,000 to get through the door. Supporters who raised $25,000 were given access to a VIP room, where Obama met with them and briefly spoke. All money went to the Obama Victory Fund.

Some of the entertainment industry figures who attended the fund raiser were Kevin Huvane, managing partner of CAA, actress Kate Bosworth, actress Helen Hunt, producer Paula Weinstein, actress Salma Hayek, openly gay fashion designer Tom Ford, openly gay producer Bruce Cohen, and actress Reese Witherspoon. Former South Dakota senator Tom Daschle, who was in Los Angeles campaigning for Barack Obama, was also a guest.

Los Angeles gay community leaders who attended the event were Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, West Hollywood City Councilman John Duran, and restaurateur David Cooley, all of whom are openly gay.

Michelle Obama arrived at the Holmby Hills home at 6:15 p.m. as guests drank red and white wine and ate tuna tartar on wonton chips and ginger chicken cakes in the backyard near a lap pool. Obama came directly from taping a segment for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Kevin Huvane introduced Obama at 6:50 p.m. “In a city of stars,” said Huvane, “we have the biggest one right here.”

Obama then took the podium, and told the crowd how her daughters, Malia and Sasha, met the pop group the Jonas Brothers at the “Ellen” taping. The daughters were not present at either fund raiser.

Obama then moved on to politics, where she first brought up her husband’s vice-presidential choice. “I think it was a really good pick—Senator Joe Biden,” she said, and later added, “People say they have amazing chemistry, and it’s true.”

Obama continued with talk about Biden when she said, “What you learn about Barack from his choice is that he’s not afraid of smart people.” The crowd softly chuckled.

Obama then spoke about the time she first went on a date with Barack and instantly saw his “specialness.” She told the crowd, “All I’ve been trying to say the past nine months is that Barack has a gift, and he’s willing to share it.”

Mindful of the audience in front of her, she then touched up gay and lesbian issues. “In a world as it should be,” Obama said, “we repeal laws like DOMA (the Defense of Marriage Act) and ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’” She also said an Obama Administration would “recognize” gay adoption rights. Both lines received loud applause. Another crowd pleasing line was about the Iraq war. “In a world as it should be,” Obama said, “we end this war responsibly.”

Obama then asked the audience to get involved in the campaign. “You’re going to have to share your passion,” she said. “You’re going to have to advocate.”

She ended her 20-minute speech by saying, “Not only can we have Barack Obama as the next president of the United States, but we can change the world.”

Obama then shook hands with the donors and left the site about 15 minutes later.

The Obamas want you to believe they are just average Americans who have the same values as the typical family sitting around their "kitchen table." The truth is, they are elitist snobs far more comfortable with the crowd described in this article - the smart people who eat "tuna tartar on wonton chips." The Obamas fear Sarah Palin because she is everything they are not -- humble, down-to-earth, a holder of traditonal American values, and -- smart.

Jeremiah Wright preached in a Houston, Texas church yesterday, and in his sermon Wright seemed to take some of the credit for turning an "ordinary boy" into the "extraordinary" candidate we see today:

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's fiery ex-pastor, re-emerged yesterday with a crude reference about race and sex in the White House.

"This ordinary boy [Obama] just might be the first president in the history of the United States to have a black woman sleeping at 1600 Pennsylvania legally," Wright said, referring to Michelle Obama, in a sermon at the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.

It was unclear whether Wright was making a reference to prostitution, to old miscegenation laws, or to the history of illicit interracial sex under slavery.

Wright's remarks yesterday were full of praise for Obama - although several times, he referred to Obama as a "boy" who later developed into an extraordinary person, through God's work and, presumably, Wright's guidance.

"The lord turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. Y'all just saw it this past week. It was on national television," Wright said to applause.

"An ordinary black boy raised in a single-parent home . . . walked into my office 20 years ago to talk about his dream for a community that concentrated on things that we could achieve in common."

Of course, that's exactly what we should be concerned about - that Barack Obama is very much a person who has been greatly influenced by the radical anti-American views of Jeremiah Wright and other associates.

Here is Nicole Wallace, from the McCain Campaign, talking this morning on the Today Show about last night's action on the first night of the Democratic National Convention.

The Washington Post reported today that Michelle Obama's office at the University of Chicago Medical Center two years ago awarded contracts to an African-American Businessman who is a large donor and fundraiser for Barack Obama. In fact, Robert Blackwell, Sr. was also an employer of Barack Obama, having hired Obama as his attorney:

Two years ago, the office of Michelle Obama, the vice president for community relations at the University of Chicago Medical Center, published a glossy report detailing the improvements her office had made in the lives of local residents, in part by increasing ties to minority contractors.

Center administrators declined to disclose which businesses benefited; the report lists one -- Blackwell Consulting Services.

In 2005, the center expanded its bidding process and invited African American businessman Robert Blackwell Sr. to join a competition to upgrade the center's intranet, the in-house equivalent of a Web site. His company, Blackwell Consulting, won contracts totaling nearly $650,000.

Blackwell and his family, records show, have been longtime donors to the political campaigns of Michelle Obama's husband, Barack. Robert Blackwell Jr., a former partner in the firm, is a major fundraiser for Barack Obama. At various times, Blackwell Sr. says, his and his son's businesses each have retained Barack Obama as an attorney.

"I love Barack. I'm telling you, he's a wonderful guy," Blackwell said in an interview.

A spokeswoman for the medical center, Kelly Sullivan, said Michelle Obama "was not involved in the selection process."

Blackwell Sr. described the genesis of his contract as "really fuzzy." Sometime in 2004, he said, an employee of the center's diversity office -- he cannot remember who -- mentioned an opportunity to bid on contracts there and offered to "talk us up."

Another Ugly Michelle Obama moment... lies through her teeth that she "didn't" see the 'Comparison to Paris Hilton ad' but then again she commented on it nevertheless.

August 7, 2008

On ABC's GMA (GoodMorningAmerica) Robin Roberts, who's another propagandist for Obama, interviews Michelle Obama.

Robin just "had" to throw that pitch in "Michelle is advocating for women that have relatives serving in Iraq", which is of course nothing but a political stunt, she only met with a few women so she can have a photo-up as a propaganda cheap "answer" to Barack's lowness of avoiding the wounded troops because there
weren't cameras available...

Already ahead of the interview, Robin described its main content as: How Michelle deals with the recent attacks on Barack", portraying Obama as a "poor" victim, that's the newest wave.

So she did ask Michelle about the McCain Ad Compares Obama To Britney, Michelle the fraud: "Frankly I haven't even seen the ad", but my response to it is...".

Excuse me? What an insult to the viewers, Does she really expect anyone to believe she didn't see it? What small box does she live in?

The next question was her reaction to the cartoon in the 'New Yorker' where she was seen as a militant, Michelle: "Again, I didn't pay much attention to it, because then I saw some positive portraying as well...", Oops! "again" means that you (still) didn't see the Obama' as a star as Paris Hilton ad'? or you
admit to have seen it but didn't pay much attention?

And Robin just swallowed this arrogant's low type of empty and basic untrue response.

The real truth that ever came out from this ego-maniac woman was in public of course, that she was NEVER proud of her country America, until Barack was promoted.

Notice how you can't avoid noticing Robin's tremendous effort till desperation how to portray disliked Michelle as "classic" & likeable when this person doesn't even have one iota of what a lady really
is.

The interview in its entirety will be viewed on ABC's 'Nightline'.

Michelle Obama returned to one of her favorite themes Monday, as she spoke in Colorado. She said she wished she had time for division, anger, disappointment:

Obama rattled off a list of areas where she believes the nation has been underperforming during the two terms of President Bush: education, health care and the economy.

"I wish we had time to be divided. I wish we had time to be upset. To be angry. To be disappointed. I wish we did," Obama said. "Because if we had time for that, then things wouldn't be so bad right now. Instead, we're in a place where another four or eight years of the world as it is will devastate the life of some child."

Tom Kise, spokesman for McCain, said the Arizona senator has a plan to improve the economy by making it easier for small businesses to grow.

This is the same woman who said her husband's successful presidential campaign was the "first time in her adult lifetime she was proud of her country." She also has said she believes America is a "downright mean country." She does not see the same America most of us see. If she did, the first emotions that would come to her mind would not be division, anger and disappointment, but rather gratitude, devotion, and pride.

Here is a short article posted at the Fox News website saying that Democratic Strategist Bob Beckel said on Fox & Friends this morning that a "big shoe" was about to drop on the Obama campaign, according to his sources:

Were you watching at 6:25 when Democratic strategist Bob Beckel dropped a bomb on us? He said he’d heard through his political pipeline that a big shoe was about to drop on the Obama campaign. It has something to do with Michelle Obama. Beckel wouldn’t say anything more other than this explosive story may happen tomorrow. Do you think the GOP has something up its sleeve that could blow up Obama’s campaign? If so, when do you think they’ll unleash it?

Could it be the rumored Michelle Obama "whitey" tape? I have been skeptical as to the rumors, but there must be something there for rabid Democrat Bob Beckel to say this. He has been very supportive of Obama during the campaign. It should be interesting to see.

The rumors that a tape exists in which Michelle Obama utters racist remarks have been floating around now for several weeks. But the last two days have brought signs that it may be far more than a rumor.

Yesterday on the Fox News Channel a Republican operative, Roger Stone, said he believes the tape exists and that a major network is in possession of the tape. Today, Larry Johnson at No Quarter - a pro-Hillary Democratic Blog - is giving shocking details of what he says five sources have confirmed about the tape:

I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about “whitey” describe it as “STUNNING.” I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks. Whoops!! When that image comes out it will enter the politcal ads hall of fame. It will be right up there with the little girl plucking daisy petals in the famous 1964 ad LBJ used against Barry Goldwater.

Barack may have quit his church but his religious problems are not over. Barack Obama has a Nation of Islam problem that will receive more attention in the coming days. Before Barack came on the scene, THE MAN in his political district was Louis Farrakhan. No one could take Alice Palmer’s seat without Farrakhan’s blessing. No one. I do not fault Barack Obama for seeking out the blessing of Farrakhan, but the story of what was done behind the scenes to get rid of Barack’s predecessor—Alice Palmer—has not been told. A knowledgeable source tells me that Tony Rezko played a direct role in this feat. And Rezko has been tight with Farrakhan.

It also should come as no surprise that Barack hired two members of the Nation of Islam to work on his staff—Jennifer Mason and Cynthia K. Miller. (And no, I am not merely recycling info initially reported by Debbie Schlussel. I have two independent Chicago sources for this info.) If Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger had kept their yaps buttoned none of this would mean much. But the fact that both men have been—until scrubbed from the website in recent weeks—listed as spiritual advisors to Barack Obama and also are very close to Louis Farrakhan, forces the question about Barack’s faith and beliefs.  read more »

It's all over the Democratic Blogs today - at least the pro-Hillary Dem blogs. Too early to know if it is accurate or not. But No Quarter is saying (HillBuzz Blog is also talking about it) they have it on the authority of three GOP sources that a video has been found by Republicans that shows Michelle Obama railing against "Whitey" in the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. According to these sources, the video will be used this fall by the GOP "at the appropriate time."

Whether or not this video exists, the fact Pro-Hillary blogs are pushing this story shows the level of animosity that exists between the Clinton and Obama camps. That kind of animosity is not going to go away if Obama is the nominee. I believe there will be many Clinton supporters who will not vote for Obama under any circumstances.

If it turns out that such a tape does exist, it will be devastating for Obama. After all, how will he try to talk himself out of such statements by his wife? Will he say he had no idea she had such ideas or had ever made such statements? He seems to think that lame excuse works with his pastor of 20 years, so he would probably think that will pass with voters in the case of his wife as well. Something tells me it won't.

This is a truly great ad! The Tennessee GOP is welcoming Michelle Obama's visit to the state by asking Tennesseans to share some reasons they feel pride in their country - in contrast, of course, to Michelle who was proud of America for the first time in her adult lifetime only when her husband was successful in his campaign. The woman who would be America's next first lady could be a big issue from now to November.

Hint: The closing statement is a gem!
