As I watched Senator McCain speak last night, one thing jumped out at me. He really listens to the questions that are asked of him. He was even taking notes (I guess so he could better answer the question) and if he did not understand what was being asked of him, he asked for clarification. I believe that this American hero is truly the best candidate for the Presidency and I also believe that he will do what he truly thinks is best for our country not for himself or the party he represents. What more can we ask of a commander and chief than to, as we teach our Boy Scouts, do your best? I would no more vote for a person based on the color of their skin or their religious beliefs than I would chose someone just because they were handsome or wealthy. This country needs a leader that will look out for the best interest of our country as a whole, not themselves or the party they represent. We need a leader with a backbone that is not afraid to stand up to for what he believes is right. We need to use this country’s resources and stop being dependant on foreign oil, or other products. What happened to the pride of buying “made in the USA” products. Now most of our good come from China and other places when the same products could be giving Americans jobs and security we once had. The congress has gotten this country so screwed up I doubt it will ever be completely fixed. When members are serving special interest groups and not the nation as a whole, we will always have these problems. I know there are others out there with the same views as myself, I just pray they will VOTE on election day and vote for what is best, not just to make history of having the 1st black person in the white house who has no real experience on which he can base sound decisions on.
