The beautiful Carson Valley as seen from Spooner Pass.

My wait in line was just under two hours.
This woman made her own shirt and gave one to Palin as a gift.
Lots of great signs!

An eager crowd awaits the governor's arrival. In the meantime, we were entertained by an excellent country-western band called Silverwing.

Todd and Sarah emerge.

Todd Palin looks like he's having the time of his life!

The crowd is electrified.

These people are even better looking in person than they are in photographs.

The crowd is completely enthralled as Sarah speaks.

Sarah's acknowledgement to the Blue Star Mothers attending the rally brought cheers of "USA, USA."

Sarah's call for energy independence brought cheers of "Drill Baby, Drill."

Sarah reminds us the we must all do our part and help bring winning numbers to the polls in November.

A frenzy ensues when Sarah leaves the stage and the news circulates that she is working the crowd. I can only hold my camera high and hope for the best!

Everyone wants to get close to Sarah.

Following the crowd reaction around the arena.

Faces full of anticipation as Sarah approaches.

Sarah signing autographs.

Todd Palin is a natural with the crowd.

Local TV interviews.

As I left Carson City I turned on the radio news. AP reported that the crowd was 10,000 and this was confirmed by the sheriff's office. Amazing! I was on the floor and had no way of knowing the size of the crowd.
I came home with a new campaign button and the memories of a lifetime!

Here is video from Gov. Sarah Palin's speech at a rally in Carson City, Nevada last night, September 13, 2008. It marked the first time Palin has done a rally by herself. This video is not the complete speech, but does contain quite a bit of it. A local radio station said the crowd was 6,000 people, but an ABC report put the crowd at closer to 10,000 people. The Obama campaign is clearly rattled about Palin's crowds. They are trying to say the crowds have been overestimated. Keep "whistling past the graveyard," Obama! Saying it doesn't make it so!

Here is Sen. John McCain laying out the facts that Barack Obama opposes every major energy source in America, including offshore drilling that would dramatically reduce domestic gas prices. McCain made the remarks July 29, 2008, during a Town Hall Meeting in Sparks, Nevada.
