Here is video today of Sen. John McCain challenging Barack Obama to join him in calling for Congress to return to session to deal with the Energy Crisis. McCain calls for the Congress to include increased use of Nuclear Power and the opening of Offshore Drilling as a part of the plan. Barack Obama opposes both Nuclear Power and Offshore Drilling.
Here is former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge on ABC's This Week today, August 3, 2008. Ridge talks here about Energy Policy, and says the McCain "Celebrity Ad" has a very serious point - that we need a President who is not glamorous, but serious. Serious enough to deal with the big issues that face America. He points out Obama's opposition to not only offshore drilling, but also expansion of nuclear power plants in America.
