Obama Campaign
Here is Fox News' Megan Kelly grilling Obama surrogate Ret. Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton on whether or not Barack Obama's experience as a Candidate for President qualifies him to be Commander-in-Chief. CONTEXT: For two days now, the Obama Campaign has been offering up his "experience" running a campaign as an example of "Executive Experience." In this case, the Major General was virtually speechless in the face of the question!

The son of Communist Organizer Saul Alinsky has written a letter to the Boston Globe praising the recent Democratic National Convention as a perfect example of putting into action the Communist methods taught by his late father. The letter from David Alinsky highlights the fact that Barack Obama learned the methods of Saul Alinsky in Chicago and put them into practice as a "Community Organizer," which effectively could be called a professional "Rabble-Rouser." Read the article below which comments on the Alinsky letter, and the influence the Communist Organizer has had on Barack Obama:
In Artful Dodger style, Barack Obama, plays down his mentorship with Communist author Saul Alinsky. But Alinsky’s son, L. David Alinsky, credits Obama for “learning his lesson well” from the Communist guru.
Indeed, Alinsky Jr. who credits his late father for the success of last week’s Democratic National Convention, may have done something that Obama’s detractors couldn’t: blown the cover on the presidential hopeful’s communist leanings.
No one can blame Alinsky for the pretentiousness of the Ancient Greek Temple from which Obama addressed plebes, or for the tacky neon colours on display at the Pepsi Centre, but it was Alinsky who wrote Rules for Radicals, the bible of the far left.
Says Alinsky’s son L. David Alinsky of his father’s influence at the Dem Convention: “ALL the elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situation and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people.”
“The Democratic National Convention had all the elements of the perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style, the Communist guru’s son wrote in a letter published yesterday in the Boston Globe.
The Artful Dodger may be less than pleased that he has been pegged as a Saul Alinsky Poster Boy by the guru’s own son.
“Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness,” Alinsky Jr. wrote to the Globe. “It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.
“I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.”
This is the man who would be our President? He is using mind-control techniques learned from a Communist Organzier to whip the masses into hysteria and frenzy to bring about "change" -- but what kind of change? To be sure, Obama did not learn from Alinsky in person - Alinsky died in 1972. But he learned from those who were schooled in the Alinsky/Communist methods of agitation and organizing, and his entire campaign is clearly based on those methods and principles.
America rejected long ago the philosophy of Communism. In fact, we defeated Communism through perseverance and strength. The last thing America needs is to elect a man as President who has risen to where he is by using the methods espoused by Communist philosophers and organizers.
Here is an excellent post by Michael Goldfarb - official blogger at John McCain.com - in which he responds to the outrageous criticism of Gov. Sarah Palin leveled by the Obama Campaign yesterday:
The first Obama campaign statement on the annoucement of Governor Palin VP nominee:
"Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies -- that's not the change we need, it's just more of the same," said Bill Burton, Obama Campaign Spokesman. She's the Governor of Alaska and was the mayor of a small town, meaning she has more executive experience than Barack Obama and Joe Biden put together. But more than that, given Barack Obama's comments earlier this year that small-town Americans "cling" to guns, religion, and xenophobia out of economic anxiety, it's troubling that Obama's campaign has now attacked Governor Palin for having been the mayor of a small-town, as if that wouldn't qualify her to carry Senator Obama's bags.
Before Palin could even make it on stage the Obama campaign put out a petty partisan statement. While the press may find the current tone of the Obama campaign rousing, we suspect that the American people will judge harshly this kind of attack on Governor Palin, her record, and small town America.
Obama later in the day tried to backpeddle from his own campaign's statement. But the deed was done, revealing Obama's disdain for small towns and non-ivy league lawyers as candidates.

Politico.com is reporting that he Barack Obama campaign is trying desperately to keep an ad (see the ad) off the air that reveals his link with unrepentant domestic terrorist, William Ayers (pictured at right):
Obama’s campaign has written the Department of Justice demanding a criminal investigation of the “American Issues Project,” the vehicle through which Dallas investor Harold Simmons is financing the advertisements. The Obama campaign — and tens of thousands of supporters — also is pressuring television networks and affiliates to reject the ads. The effort has met with some success: CNN and Fox News are not airing the attacks. . . .
The Obama campaign plans to punish the stations that air the ad financially, an Obama aide said, organizing his supporters to target the stations that air it and their advertisers.
But the ad continues to air widely. Evan Tracey, who tracks campaign advertising at TNS Media Intelligence, said it has been broadcast 150 times in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Michigan. Federal Election Commission reports indicate that Simmons has spent more than $2.8 million buying ads.
Obama’s campaign has written a pair of letters to station managers carrying the ads.
The letter calls the ad’s attempt to link Obama to terrorism “an appalling lie, a disgraceful smear of the lowest kind on the senator’s patriotism and commitment to the rule of law.”
Airing the ad “is inconsistent with your station’s obligations under Federal Communications Commission regulations,” the letter continues, saying Simmons’ group lacks formal incorporation.
No, the ad is "inconsistent" with the Obama Campaign's talking points and with their attempt to pass Obama off as an average guy, rather than the radical that he is.

Fox News is reporting that the Obama Campaign has ceased advertising in seven key battleground states, which may be sign they are seeing signs in their polling that they cannot take those states away from John McCain. Obama had once boasted of a "50-state Strategy," believing he could win anywhere in the nation:
Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has put the brakes on ads that were running in seven states carried by the GOP in the 2004 presidential election, FOX News has learned.
Of the seven states — including Alaska, Georgia, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota — Florida and Virginia are considered key battlegrounds this year. Obama’s decision to stop advertising in those states is raising eyebrows.
Aides to Obama told FOX News that the changes are related to the convention next week. They wouldn’t discuss the specifics of their ad strategy, but the Obama campaign insists that it has not pulled out of those states permanently, calling this a temporary suspension.
When Obama’s campaign took over the Democratic Party earlier this year, it embraced Howard Dean’s 50-state strategy, which is aimed at courting Democrats nationwide. The strategy has generated controversy, though, because many Democrats say it wastes money in states where they have no chance of winning.

An arrogant Barack Obama chided John McCain today and taunted him before a rally crowd saying, "John McCain doesn't know what he's up against." Somehow, I think McCain knows exactly what he is up against:
Obama, campaigning in a state where he hopes to become the first Democratic presidential candidate to win in more than three decades, implored his supporters to fight for the presidency.
"Our job in this election is not just 'win,' although I'm a big believer in winning," Obama said during the rally. "I don't intend to lose this election. John McCain doesn't know what he's up against."
"He can talk all he wants about Britney (Spears) and Paris (Hilton), but I don't have time for that mess," Obama said.
His remarks carried forward a theme of feisty campaigning he debuted earlier in the day.
Obama is wounded from his obvious loss to John McCain at the Rick Warren forum. He's trying to sound like the tough guy now. But John McCain has faced far more frightening people in his life than Barack Obama.
The truth is -- it may be Barack Obama who doesn't know what he's in for.

NBC News' Andrea Mitchell said today on Meet the Press that some in the Obama Campaign are saying privately that John McCain may not have been in a "cone of silence" last night at the Rick Warren "Civil Forum on the Presidency" - meaning they are suggesting McCain cheated at the event by hearing the questions Obama was receiving and had time to prepare his answers! Apparently, so bad was Obama's performance compared to McCain's, that Obama's campaign has already resorted to claiming McCain must have cheated to have done so well. The discussion in which Andrea Mitchell makes this statement begins at the 33:08 mark of the video (you'll have to hit play and wait a minute or two for the video to load past that point - then click the progress bar to move to that point).
Methinks John McCain really rattled the opposition with his performance last night!

Barack Obama is seeking to drum up a huge crowd of adoring Germans to hear him speak tomorrow in Berlin at the foot of Adolf Hitler's favorite monument to German Domination. The Obama Campaign has said this is not a political trip, and that the Berlin speech will not be political. I guess that's why their campaign has printed posters and flyers in German to drum up the crowd! Obama's ego is clearly so large he wants a mass of adoring German fans to hear his mesmerizing speech. Obama is seeking to project himself as already the President of the United States. In fact, in his mind, he may be aiming for President of the World.
Fox News has reported that representative Keith Ellison (D) had a heated exchange with the Obama campaign over the exclusion of two muslim woman from seats within camera shot of one of Obama's rallys.
By Chad Pergram
An apology issued by Barack Obama to two Muslim women booted from the front lines of a public appearance by the Democratic presidential candidate last week was orchestrated by Rep. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim ever elected to Congress.
Multiple congressional sources confirm that it was Ellison, D-Minn., who confronted Obama over the issue during a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus.
Obama called the women to apologize after two volunteers with the campaign removed the women from the stage area behind the location where Obama would be speaking. The volunteers allegedly told the women it was because they were wearing traditional Muslim scarves.
Sources told FOX News that it was Ellison who raised the issue of the alleged impropriety with Obama and provided the prospective nominee with the women’s phone numbers.
One key lawmaker who was present described the exchange between Obama and Ellison as “cordial” but “direct.”
Another source familiar with the exchange added that many members of the CBC supported Ellison and said “it was an issue that needed to be addressed.
However, congressional sources indicated that Ellison’s exchange with Obama was so intense that CBC Chairwoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, D-Mich., had to intervene and attempted to gavel down Ellison. read more »
As I recall, we have not been attacked since 911 and now Obama's CHIEF Foriegn policy advisor is calling the Bush policy stupid and saying that McCain would continue the "Stupid Policy" that has kept us safe for over 7 years. I guess reality has no place in the Obama campaign when it contradicts the messianic message that Obama is spewing.
This is the same person that said that neither Obama or Hillary were prepared to answer the phone a 3am.
Break out the Rolodex, it's time for CHANGE! :)
Hat Tip Michael Goldfarb at McCain official Blog for the first video.
Update: NRO has a piece by Jim Geraghty that highlights the confusion in the Obama camp regarding foreing policy. Does Obama disagree with his CHIEF Foreign Policy advisor? Are he and McCain more aligned than his campaign will admit?
It depends on who the Obama campaign are talking to now doesn't it!
