Obamessiah
Here is video of Sen. Barack Obama in Virginia asking voters to help him win the state and bring change to America. He also said, "I feel like we got a righteous wind at our backs here." Obama does not seem to be trying to avoid the "Messiah" label many have placed on him with statements like that.

When you thought the Obama Campaign could not get any more messianic in nature -- they exceed expectations! We posted last night that Obama is going to accept the nomination Thursday night at Invesco Field on a stage constructed to look like Greek Temple. Now we have a picture of it under construction via The Weekly Standard:

The Political Inquirer has created a graphic that captures the scene we may see Thursday night!

I can't wait to see the McCain ad based on this "too good to be true" scene!
Hat Tip: Powerline

I can't believe they are stupid enough to do this -- but then again the Obamessiah's ego may demand it. Imagine the ads McCain can run from this if it turns out to be true:
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.
The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos' National Football League team plays.
Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington's Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party's nomination for president.
He will stride out to a raised platform to a podium that can be raised from beneath the floor.
The show should provide a striking image for the millions of Americans watching on television as Obama delivers a speech accepting the Democratic presidential nomination.
Politicians in past elections have typically spoken from the convention site itself, but the Obama campaign liked the idea of having their man speak to a larger, stadium-sized crowd not far from where the Democratic National Convention is being held, at the Denver pro basketball arena.
Obama was taking a page from the campaign book of John Kennedy in 1960 when the future president delivered his acceptance speech to 80,000 people in the Los Angeles Coliseum.
Once Obama speaks, confetti will rain down on him and fireworks will be fired off from locations around the stadium wall.
Democratic convention organizers said the theme for the evening is "Change We Can Believe In," which has been a consistent message of Obama's presidential campaign.

Evidence of Barack Obama's ego continues to pile up. Now we have a photo (courtesy of CBS News/Allison Davis O'Keefe) of his luxurious seat on the campaign plane that has emblazoned on it the word, "President."
Barack Obama’s new campaign plane is nothing short of grand. Well, for the candidate that is.
Obama’s section of the plane rivals that of any first class. Recently the front cabin of the Boeing 757 was retrofitted to install four individual chairs that resemble La-Z-Boys. They are free-standing and made of plush leather with pockets on the sides. There is also a booth which seats four for a meeting or a meal.
His chair has his name and campaign logo embroidered on the back top -- “Obama ‘08” on one line and “President” underneath. To one side is a small table stacked with newspapers ready for the candidate’s arrival. The table of the booth is always covered in snacks and cheese and is where Obama spends most of his time during flights meeting with staff and sitting for the occasional interview.
Obama clearly believes he is destined to be President, and has assumed the role of "Acting President." He has become brazen about it, and must think the American people are so much in love with him that he can get away with anything. But he very well may be overplaying his hand, and Americans may just decide that Obama is not mature enough to sit in the real Presidential chair.

Here is Gerard Baker of The Times of London, reading his brilliant satirical piece on Barack Obama - set to great accompanying visuals. Just listen and watch - it speaks for itself!

Here is a brilliant piece by Gerard Baker that uses King James English to put into words what we all feel is the attitude toward Barack Obama on the part of many of his followers and the media. This is the first part of the piece, but you have to read the whole thing! Simply brialliant!
And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.
The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.
When he was twelve years old, they found him in the temple in the City of Chicago, arguing the finer points of community organisation with the Prophet Jeremiah and the Elders. And the Elders were astonished at what they heard and said among themselves: “Verily, who is this Child that he opens our hearts and minds to the audacity of hope?”
In the great Battles of Caucus and Primary he smote the conniving Hillary, wife of the deposed King Bill the Priapic and their barbarian hordes of Working Class Whites. . . . (Read it all)
