First of all, I would like to make it clear that I do NOT support Obama but I was upset when I saw the post stating that a soldier named Cpt Porter sent an email that lied about Obama ignoring the soldiers. Go to the site http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/afghanistan.asp and you will read the real story along with a short video from the Department of Defense and view photos submitted by other soldiers that did meet Obama and shook his hand. Obama even ate lunch with the soldiers in the mess hall. At the bottom of the page there is an admission by Cpt. Porter that he did not write accurate information about Senator Obama. When I receive an email message that is trying to discredit a person, I always go to snopes or to www.truthorfiction.com to verify if the message is true or not. I don't like to see anyone be falsley accused of something they supposedly did/didn't do. Sincerely, Kakmck

Below is a very disturbing message from a U.S. soldier serving in Afghanistan as he describes Obama’s visit there. Not only did Obama egregiously snub our wounded fighting for our nation, but this soldier tells it like it really was when Obama stepped off the plane in Afghanistan.
These brave men and women are putting their lives on the line every minute of the day for months, sometimes years to fight the greatest threat to our nation in modern history - Fundamental Extremist Islamic terrorists who wish to destroy our nation.
For a presumptive nominee for CIC with an already questionable twenty (20) year close association of an anti-American ”hate” church to look down on these soldiers and not offer them even a thank you is dishonorable to them, and to our beloved nation. This is unforgivable.
John McCain suffered almost six (6) torturous years as a POW during the Vietnam War as he fought for our nation. Can one possibly imagine the kick in the gut Obama gave these brave military as he paraded past them - The kick in the gut he gives to all who have served fighting and dying for our freedom and our great nation, including John S. McCain.
Again, to the “media” coverage of Obama: It is not simply the excessiveness of it, but the truly blatant falseness of it which strikes at the heart of the media’s integrity. WHY?

Hello Everyone,
..I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that came to Bagram, Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet-proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As the soldiers where lined up to shake his hand, he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big-top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could have publicity pictures taken of him playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here, you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA pla yers or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-in-Chief. It was almost like he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

David had emailed me with a copy of my blog entry, "Obama's Trip Around the World - Short and Simple," and we spoke by phone as we discussed the excessive coverage of John McCain's opponent. During our conversation Mr. DeSario asked me a unique and mind numbing question, "What do you think would happen if we elected an Anti-American as president?" My response before I dropped the phone was immediate, "Don't you think the media should be asking Obama this question?" Isn't this question, because of Obama's twenty (20) year close association with an anti-American "hate" church and extremely close ties to its leaders (ministers if you will,) what the media's main focus SHOULD be?
David then took the conversation to the plight of African Americans as well as other minorities, and that possibly Obama could help in their desperate needs such as reforms in education. My response was that I'm of the strong belief that those in the lowest levels of poverty, including poor whites who are trapped within these institutional walls which stand as a road block to the American dream, should be free by crushing these walls.
BUT, the real question is "who" should be our leader, not only for extreme and dire social issues, but economic as well as extremely dangerous and tumultuous foreign affairs. My feelings remain. A man who chose to not only allow himself, but also his wife and children to ingest hate filled anti-American rhetoric in a church for the past twenty (20) years, only to break ties for political aspirations is not an answer to our critical national and international issues. Hate begets hate! Hate only destroys ones soul, it will destroy the soul of a nation - Our nation. And THIS is what the media's focus should be for the sake of our beloved America.
This whole issue of HYPE from my vantage point goes beyond fairness in political media coverage between two (2) presidential contenders. This issue of the media's bias and refusal to address what Obama will bring to the presidential table with his "hate" background is more at stake, and the responsibility of what I always believed was the media's job to ethically, honorably, and credibly examine. If you wish to remain an ethical, honorable, and credible media as you cover Obama, start by speaking with the grieving survivors of 9/11, and countless military lives lost in our fight against Islamic Extremist terrorism. Go ahead! Ask them! Ask them how they feel when they hear Rev. Wright, Obama's spiritual adviser, say GD America, and take pleasure in the three thousand (3,000) lives lost on 9/11. I ask you the media who feeds our populous, why are you not talking to these people in all of your hype??
I always demanded "acrediblepresident." I now demand "acrediblemedia!"

Two (2) reasons John McCain's opponent has decided to take a trip around the world:

2. A crash course in foreign affairs
- The free media to its disgrace IS working.
- With regards to John McCain's opponent's understanding and experience of foreign affairs, it remains where it has always been - NONE.
Many are in denial of the dire and critical threats upon our nation in one of the most dangerous era's since its beginnings. John McCain understands this. John McCain understood how important it was to change strategies in Iraq stressing the surge which has worked.
The people of our nation must understand these threats and face them, not be in denial and follow someone as a leader who is also in denial. Our nation's people MUST understand how dangerous the proliferation of nuclear, bio, and chemical weapons are when they fall in the wrong hands of nations who wish to destroy the United States of America.
John McCain has always said that he would put the safety of our beloved nation as a priority even if it costs him this election. Translation: John McCain loves this nation more then himself.
To the media: Please stop this circus of coverage of a candidate simply because of his race or ethnicity. Whether someone is black, white, green, or pink, if he/she is capable and able to be a strong leader is what this is all about. But for the liberal media to shove lies and propaganda down the throats of Americans is nothing but wrong. You the media in the end will have to explain the responsibilities of your actions if a man is elected president who attended an Anti-American institution (church if you will) with extremely close associations to its leaders and members; and this is unforgivable.
You can not erase this twenty (20) year association of Anti-America rhetoric, and then wipe the slate clean simply because this gentlemen broke ties for political reasons. The people of our nation already have little trust in our political system. To continue the excessive coverage and support of an individual with close ties to Anti-American beliefs will only allow Americans to trust the media even less.
Your actions go beyond party lines, your actions question your honor and love of our beloved nation.

On June 8, 2008 I received a phone call telling me I was going to die. They also told me to watch what happens to people who disagree with Obama. A little bit later my son came in telling me that someone set the tree on fire. I am fed up with death threats. I do not appreciate Obama telling McCain that we are his voters. No we were Hillary voters and now we are free to choose who we want as president. I know that McCain did not set my tree on fire and neither did his supporters.
I am not afraid of you so stop making the threats. Come see me if you are so tough. I am not afraid.

OK, the TV networks have drawn their lines - And unfairly I might add. The American electorate are exposed to a disproportionate and unfair coverage of the two presumptive nominees of the office of President of the United States. The bottom line - Obama does not need all the money given to the campaign for campaign ads, he has been getting enormous amounts of FREE media coverage from the major networks. What does this tell us regarding our media, and what fills the eyes, ears, and hearts of our American population? Let me fill you in.
In communist nations, their populations hear and see what has been decided they hear and see. In dictatorships which claim some semblance of democracy by allowing elections, they are often biased, allowing little to NO input as members of a nation cast their ballot.
Is this what our nation has come to? The American electorate has little exposure to our Republican candidate, John S. McCain, a man of character, dignity, credibility; and a Patriot who loves our beloved nation more than himself. Yet the liberal media has chosen to give the Democratic candidate the brunt of exposure. I challenge the media, however, this: If you choose to cover this Democratic candidate, Obama, at least be fair and balanced in your coverage. You can NOT erase TWENTY (20) years of a church Obama held dear to him which preached hate - HATE against the United States. Hate against whites. I work with kids and adults with Autism and this issue is very important to me. I am glad to see one of the candiates addressing this very important subject.
Combating Autism in America.
John McCain is very concerned about the rising incidence of autism among America's children and has continually supported research into its causes and treatment. He has heard countless stories about families' hardships obtaining a diagnosis for their children's autism and accessing quality medical treatment. He believes that federal research efforts should support broad approaches to understanding the factors that may play a role in the incidence of autism, including factors in our environment, for both prevention and treatment purposes.
John McCain was proud to lend his support to the Combating Autism Act of 2006, which he cosponsored, and worked to ensure its enactment. This law is helping to increase public awareness and screening of autism spectrum disorder, promote the use of evidence-based interventions, and create autism Centers of Excellence for Autism Spectrum Disorder Research and Epidemiology. John McCain understands that despite the federal and scientific research efforts to date, the exact causes of autism are not yet known and greater research is needed to understand this disorder. That is why in November 2007, he joined with Senator Lieberman in requesting the leadership of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, which has jurisdiction over federal research into autism, to hold a hearing on federal research efforts regarding factors affecting incidence and treatment in order to help determine where research efforts can best be directed. As President, John McCain will work to advance federal research into autism, promote early screening, and identify better treatment options, while providing support for children with autism so that they may reach their full potential.

Happy 4th of July to all Americans. This Country proves that Protest and Democracy works. It's not perfect but its the best in the world.
I spend this 4th of July with my family but I am also protesting. That is what the founding fathers were doing when they decided to sign the Declaration of Independence. They fought for what they wanted which was freedom.
I find myself in the same position. I find myself rebelling against my Party which told me I was no longer needed. They told me I was not the type of person they wanted in their party. They told me I was uneducated or white or a female. They told me I was poor or blue collar. They told me to stay home if I didn't like the fact that the Nominee was going to be selected not elected. They did not listen to our voices of protest and ignored our votes. They backed their man for whatever reason.
I own my vote and from now on both Political Parties and all candidates for whatever office they seek are going to have to work for my vote. They are going to have to be politically courageous and actually stand for something.
I no longer wished to be threatened with Roe vs Wade. I am not a one issue person and am insulted that anyone would assume I am.
I may not agree with Republicans on most issue I will say I have never witnessed the Republicans stealing an election from another Republican. Could this be why the Democrats hardly ever win.
I spend this fourth a little different then I have ever done so before but Protest is the American way.

As we all know, Obama will not be accepting public financing and will be flooding the airwaves with anti-McCain ads from now until November, while John McCain is subjected to strict spending limits. Not only is Obama expected to outspend our candidate 2-3 to 1, but various liberal 527 groups have also pledged to spend tens of millions of dollars.
It is essential that John McCain be able to get his message out so people can hear the truth, not just the Democrat's distortions. And the time to do that is now - during this brief window before our candidate is subject to spending limits.

to my fellow PUMAs just a reminder that we are doing a money bomb to both the Clinton's campaign and the McCain campaigns. Its important that we remember to donate to both campaigns. Its important that we be the ones to pay off her debt. I do not want her to have to accept a dime from Obama. I do not want her to have to campaign for him and I want to deliver her to the convention debt free. She fought for us and now it's our turn to fight for her. Just Say NO Deal is suggesting that we donate $20.08 to Clinton I plan to donate $20.44 to McCain. We need to raise as much money as we can because you know that Obama raises an obsene amount of money. We need to raise as much as we can for McCain and to pay off Hillary's debt. We must also raise money for McCain to make sure he has enough money to win. Obama is so Liberal that the Conservatives will rather or not they want to will have to donate to the McCain campaign but Hillary's supporters must also donate. Most of us know what to do.
I think the Republicans were surprised and happy about the money bomb. I think that Obama did unite someone he united us with the Republicans nicely. Perhaps things will change.
