Did Pelosi's ad lib doom the deal?

.........a review of the video of Pelosi’s comments shows the speaker deviated substantially from her prepared remarks when she stepped into the well of the House at about 12:20 p.m. Monday afternoon – delivering a series of ad-libbed jabs at President Bush and his party.

Among the remarks Pelosi made on the floor that were not included in the prepared text:

"When President Bush took office, he inherited President Clinton's surpluses — four years in a row, budget surpluses, on a trajectory of $5.6 trillion in surplus. And with his reckless economic policies within two years, he had turned that around ... and now eight years later the foundation of that fiscal irresponsibility, combined with an anything-goes economic policy, has taken us to where we are today. They claim to be free-market advocates when it's really an anything-goes mentality, no regulation, no supervision, no discipline. ..."

"... Democrats believe in a free market ... but in this case, in its unbridled form as encouraged, supported by the Republicans — some in the Republican Party, not all — it has created not jobs, not capital, it has created chaos."

Kathleen Parker, a so called "conservative columnist" is either "missing a few tacos from her platter" or is a Mole for the Democrats.

With less that 40 days to go until the general election, she made an incredible statement attacking John McCain's Presidential running mate, Sarah Palin. She stated that Palin is a "dud" and should "step aside".

Surely, a True Republican would never say such a thing, and certainly not at this stage as it would mean a a certain loss to McCain if that were to happen. So why did she say it?

A few more Kathleen Parker gems below:

"I love Obama for his style, grace, intellect and his way with words. I want the healing power that an Obama presidency could deliver to this country".

"Alaska someday will be home to Christian renegades arriving for the Rapture".

This is also the same Kathleen Parker that agreed with Ahmadinejad's assertion that women should not be in the British military (or any military for that matter) after Iran commandeered a British ship with a woman sailor on board.

Parker went on to "diss" the woman in the military and say it was not their roles to be serving their country in uniform and should instead stay home and raise their kids.

Perhaps she sould tell that to Sgt. Leigh Ann Hester who won a Silver Star in Iraq after a fierce 90 minute firefight in which she saved many lives with her bravery in direct combat with the enemy.

Or perhaps she should tell that Army Spc. Monica Lin Brown who was also awarded a Silver Star for bravery under fire and also saving many lives.

Should we now ground Colonel Martha McSally, the first woman to fly combat in the United States Air Force? Not only is Colonel McSally a decorated combat pilot (A-10 Thunderbolt II), she also is the first woman to successfully command an American fighter squadron-the 354th Fighter Squadron.

Oh wait..let's not forget that Parker strongly believes that Sarah Palin needs to spend more time with the family..along with our women in the military.

No, Kathleen Parker is not missing a "few tacos" at all. It is my view that she knew Exactly what she was saying and why she said it. Furthermore, it is my view that she is either a secret Mole for the Democrats or at the very least, has become a useful idiot for them. Truly pathetic.

John McCain not only won the debate, but he won it in Grand style!

McCain schooled Obama like he's never been schooled before and America saw for the first time how Obama literally crumbled under the pressure.

It was a classic case of Pro vs. Amateur.

"In Full": Katie Couric spoke with John McCain about the national financial crisis and the presidential candidate says that the economy comes before partisan politics.

Senator Barack Obama said he was “puzzled” recently when his early experience as a community organizer was mocked by Governor Sarah Palin at the Republican Convention. “I would think that that’s an area where Democrats and Republicans would agree,” he added after describing its good works. Indeed, Obama’s community organizing experience is noteworthy because it appears within his immigration legislation costing U.S. $80 million.

“Obama’s bill reverses large fee increases for legal immigrants seeking to become citizens,” and reminiscent of his community organizing days, it “provides grants to states to help promote citizenship.”

According to Obama’s Plan for America at barackobama.com, Obama played “a leading role in crafting comprehensive immigration reform.” The Presidential hopeful “believes” that the “immigration system can only be fixed by putting politics aside.”

However, a closer review of Obama’s bill, called the Citizenship Promotion Act, which, in part, organizes the “immigrant community,” suggests despite his “putting politics aside” posture that his bill puts his political interests over America’s. Moreover, Obama’s bill could potentially become an exploitable boondoggle. But first, let’s take a look at what’s not debatable in the immigration debate.

America’s immigration system is broken, and that failure uniquely affects both critical issues facing voters in the November elections: national security and the economy.

I believe that Obama's misspoken words could turn out to be a future national security disaster if voted President. The misspoken words that have a lot of people up in arms and his poor judgement in character, mainly regarding the company he keeps, should be looked at in another way. Do we want someone like this conversing with the World's leaders? Jeremiah Wright, for instance, Obama claims he didn't know this man to have the views he had after 20 years? The "people clinging to guns and religion"? Don't you think a person that is running for the highest office in the land should have better judgement? I wouldn't want the World's leaders misunderstanding us or taking offense and I want a president that can more quickly determine a person's character or lack thereof and a person that has shown to have character themselves. Don't you think 20 years is long enough to figure out what someone is all about? We have too much at stake with our national security. Obama is a risk in many ways but especially where our national security is concerned. I'm putting our Country and national security First in my vote for President. GO MCCAIN & PALIN GO!!!
