Here's some very good state polling news for John McCain, according to Rasmussen:

Texas

52% John McCain
39% Barack Obama

Georgia

51% John McCain
41% Barack Obama

Wisconsin

45% Barack Obama
43% John McCain

New Jersey

48% Barack Obama
39% John McCain

As you can see, McCain is remaining strong in Texas and Georgia, and is virtually tied in Wisconsin. He is still within single digits in New Jersey. Wisconsin has been a blue state for the last five elections. Not since 1984 has it voted for a Republican. For McCain to be close there is a very good sign right now. Georgia is also a place to watch. Some Obama people believe they have a shot to pick it off this year. If it stays strong for McCain, it shows their poaching strategy is not working.
