In honor of our Nation's Independence Day, I would like to propose we have a 'McCain Money Bomb' on July 4, 2008.

Money bombs give people a concrete reason to donate THAT DAY because your donation is doubly effective. By being part of a money bomb, you not only provide funds, but also help build your campaign's morale and show your support!

I propose that members of all the McCain Meetups & blog sites donate $25, $50, $75, or $100 each on July 4th (and to encourage their friends to do the same).

As we all know, Obama will not be accepting public financing and will be flooding the airwaves with anti-McCain ads from now until November, while John McCain is subjected to strict spending limits. Not only is Obama expected to outspend our candidate 2-3 to 1, but various liberal 527 groups have also pledged to spend tens of millions of dollars.

It is essential that John McCain be able to get his message out so people can hear the truth, not just the Democrat's distortions. And the time to do that is now - during this brief window before our candidate is subject to spending limits.
