Obama Brings Peace to Georgia
In perhaps the most ridiculous claims yet from Obama supporters, Governor Tim Kaine (D) tells Fox News that Russia called for a ceasefire because Obama told them to.
“It was a bad crisis for the world. It required tough words but also a smart approach to call on the international community to step in. And I’m very, very happy that the Senator's request for a ceasefire has been complied with by President Medvedev.”
Notice he said, "It WAS a bad crisis..." The problem is it is still a crisis and not by any stretch of the imagination was Obama the first to call for a ceasefire.
When more than a thousand freedom loving American allys have been murdered by Russian troops, the Obama campaign tries to use it as a political issue to build Obama's foreign policy credentials.
The fact is, the fighting continues and even more Georgians are being slaughtered as I write.
John McCain was the first to condemn the Russians. He did so in strong terms and did not ask for appeasment as did Obama.

Contrast Kaine's statement to that of Gov. Pawlenty's measured response:

Obama's Foreign Policy
