Barack Obama is now trying to run away from his votes as an Illinois State Senator that blocked a bill that would have outlawed the heinous practice of "live-birth-abortion." This practice refuses medical care to babies who survive attempted abortions. Instead, the baby is set aside and allowed to die.

Last night, after Obama's appearance at the Rick Warren "Civil Forum on the Presidency," Obama was asked by David Brody of CBN News about this vote. Obama answered indignantly, as you will see in the video below, claiming his position has been distorted and twisted:

But the facts do not support Obama. We posted on this way back in February, citing a Human Events article that goes into great detail on what Obama actually did to keep "live-birth-abortion" an active practice in Illinois. That article quotes a nurse named Jill Stanek who testified before Obama in Illinois to try and get this practice stopped. She said Obama was "unmoved," and that he voted against the legislation three times. Obama is trying to run away from his radical left position on this issue. He knows that infanticide, which is essentially what "live-birth-abortion" is, will shock most Americans to their core. Obama was even to the left of the Nation Abortion Rights Action League on this issue. This could become THE explosive issue ad of the fall if a pro-life group decides to turn this video,or something like it, into a 30 second ad. No matter how much Obama wants to run away from his past, it is not going away. Nor should it. This "different kind of candidate" may just turn out to be far more "different" in views most Americans are not comfortable with.
