ONE WEEK MCCAIN VP SELECTION POLL - VOTE NOW!

On Friday, August 29, Sen. John McCain will announce the choice of his Vice-Presidential running mate. He will do so at a rally in Dayton, Ohio. Over the next week, we hope everyone will vote on who they believe John McCain WILL choose as his running mate -- not who you want him to choose. Who will McCain select? NOTE: Click "Comment" on the poll to see the location of voters for each candidate!

Don't Pick Huckabee or Romney!

I keep saying this over and over I hope someone will listen. As you can see by the poll Huckabee and Romney are the leading. However they both have over 30% of the vote and the 30% that voted for Romney would never vote for Huckabee and vice-versa. I wrote an article about this on my blog along with alot of other VP profiles on other candidates. Check it out.

New Conservative, I was with

New Conservative,

I was with you up until a couple of weeks ago. The truth is he needs both men. I have a real distrust in Romney, but if he plays a role that doesn't deal with the social issues, I can live with that. Huckabee has the most crossover appeal of anyone being talked about. Rememeber, in the begining he was 'too liberal'. That is because he can reach out to those Hillary voters, the working class of this country that will be living on less money next year than they are this year. My family will be one of those families. Yeah, it will irk the establishment in the begining, but all they really care about is winning, and in the end the absolute strongest ticket we have on the GOP side is a McCain/Huckabee one.

True.I have talked to Hillary supporters that would love to support a McCain/Huckabee ticket. Not everyone mind you but a lot of them said If Huckabee were on the ticket w/ Sen McCain that would clinch their vote.I was kinda (but nicely)surprised!

i voted for Huckabee;even though it said not the one you want

I bet most of the votes for Huckabee weren't from ppl who thought he'd get the VP nod but from ppl who know Mike.We are for the man we think SHOULD get the nod.I voted Huckabee here for that same reason-even if he doesn't make it.Fine with me.I would not vote for anyone else on this poll.
you want enthusiasm on the ticket? McCain/Huckabee
you want a vote cos it's better than Obama? McCain/anyone

Am I the only MC CAINIAC here ?

Thats how it looks to me right now. This is supposed to be the "Blogs for John McCain" website, but 90 % of what I read is about Mike Huckabee.

Sorry, Huckababes. I am for JOHN MC CAIN. Not Huckabee. JOHN MC CAIN!

I like Mike Huckabee all right, sure. But he had his time. This is JOHN MC CAIN's time. His to pick a VP -- and it will likely not be Mike Huckabee.

John McCain has priorities for our nation. They are HIS priorities. They are also MOST VOTERS' priorities. That's EXACTLY as it should be.

It is HIGH TIME that John McCain supporters take back his website, which is for US. Mike Huckabee can go get his own web page.

President McCain

Wasn't the point of this website to help get John McCain elected? You CANNOT deny that Mike Huckabee can do that. Look at the excitement he can generate!

Blogs for John McCain

This is most definitely Blogs for John McCain. I would hope that everyone here, whatever their views regarding the VP choice, will rally around the eventual ticket of John McCain and whomever he chooses. The stakes are too high. We cannot allow the nation to be turned over to Barack Obama.

But while we wait for the pick, I see nothing wrong with everyone having the opportunity to share their views as to who would make the best running mate. We have posted rationales for choosing a whole range of candidates - Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Pawlenty, Palin, etc. A vibrant discussion of this issue does not mean we are not wholly behind John McCain. I urge you to join me in committing to 100% support of the eventual ticket -- to do what is best for America.

Thanks, brianinmo

for the fair way you have allowed each VP contender a "moment" in the limelight. We all have our favorites, of course, and it is great to have a place to share our thoughts about why he/she should be the "pick." I know McCain will use each of these contenders to their fullest potential in his campaign and administration.
I, for one, am a McCain supporter; I was in his court in 2000 when he ran against GWB, and believe he would have made a great president then. Now, since he is running against BO, I know he is the best of the lot by a huge margin!
