Respect for John McCain

John McCain has just earned my respect and loyality. I am a Hillary supporter and have been torn about what to do if she loses the nomination. I am no longer torn. John McCain showed today so much respect today for Hillary that he has my vote, money and support. I just want to let others know that he is a wonderful man. This is what he did for Hillary and so many women out there. With this article I think he just won over a huge amount of Hillary's women.

McCain Admires Clinton’s Tenacity
By Katharine Q. Seelye

Senator John McCain thinks Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton might be feeling sorry for herself.
He told Glamour magazine in an interview today that Mrs. Clinton had been “an incredibly effective candidate and one that has been in many ways a role model for other women who seek public office.”
Then Cindi Leive, the editor of Glamour, who was interviewing him, asked him if Mrs. Clinton had been “treated fairly on the campaign trail as a woman.”
Here’s what he said:
“You know, I don’t know because I’m not objective enough to make the judgment. I simply don’t know. But I know the one thing that I try to avoid in my campaigns is feeling sorry for myself. It’s easy to do, pick up the paper this morning, read a story that’s negative, ‘Oh, my God, they’re picking on me.’ You just can’t do that. You just can’t do that.”
He went on to say he admired Mrs. Clinton’s “tenacity, her knowledge of the issues.”

The interview was part of Mr. McCain’s attempt to touch some cultural bases and demographics that he may have overlooked in his career _ young women, for example, who make up Glamour’s readership. His debut http://www.glamour.com/news/blogs/glamocracy/2007/12/gl amour-has-i-1.html in the magazine came in December, when he talked about his daughter, Meghan.
Mr. McCain is going on “Saturday Night Live” tonight. While he was in New York, he spent part of the afternoon talking with Ms. Leive at a midtown hotel. The full interview is to appear in a later issue of the magazine, but here are some snippets.
He did suggest that he might not have agreed with his wife’s decision not to release her tax returns.
“We’ll continue to discuss it,” he said in response to a question. “But Cindy’s and my finances have always been separate; we file separate tax returns and I believe that she’s entitled to that privacy. But we’ll continue to discuss it.”
Ms. Leive noted that there is a Web site called ThingsThatAreYoungerThanJohnMcCain.com, which puts Scrabble, the Golden Gate Bridge and also the area code system in that category.
Mr. McCain says the site is hilarious and adds that the Internet and perhaps color TV are also younger than he is. Along these lines, he volunteers this about the show tonight (spoiler alert!):
The script calls for him to say: “I want this to be a safer world, a better place for my children. And my grandchildren. And my great-grandchildren. And my great-great-grandchildren. And my great-great-great-grandchildren.”
“It’s a very, very funny line,” Mr. McCain says, adding that he’s not sure it will actually make the show.
He also volunteered that he didn’t count Mrs. Clinton out of the race.
“I’ve never counted Senator Clinton out,” he said. “I didn’t before the New Hampshire primary, I didn’t before the Ohio primary, I didn’t before the Texas primary.”
And now?
“I just don’t count her out,” he said. “I mean, I understand the pundits and the numbers and all that. But she has great capabilities.”

Count me in to do anything to crush Obama this fall.

John McCain and Hillary have

John McCain and Hillary have been very good friends in the Senate. I would love to see a race between the two of them this November because even though I support John McCain enthusiastically, it would be a race between two people who love this country and, were Hillary to win, I might not agree with many of her policies but I know they would be well thought out and cautious on the major issues. But...it does seem as though the Democrat party decided a while back -- after Pennsylvania at the latest -- that it wanted the other Democrat as its nominee. Since that time the Democrat party has done everything it could to freeze Hillary out, basically. The media of course went along enthusiastically. It has been very sad to watch this happen.

Respect for John McCain

I will no longer be in support of the Democratic National Committee because of the way in which they arbitrarily GAVE DELEGATES to BARRACK OBAMA that he DID NOT EARN! Once again, this country has proven that it is NOT a FREE WILL OF THE PEOPLE! But that A MAN, regardless of skin color is MORE WORTHY in any capacity than a WOMAN, although anyone who watched the DEBATES would know that she is FAR MORE CAPABLE! I am DONE with the DEMOCRATIC PARTY as a WHOLE! I will take my chances for NOW on and VOTE straight REPUBLICAN TICKET! I had always considered myself to teeter between a moderate to conservative Democrat, but the days of ethics and moderation DIED the DAY that JFK was assasinated! NOW, the party that once stood for EQUAL TREATMENT among people, that STOOD for the WORKING MAN/WOMAN, is NOW the PARTY of the FAR LEFTIST LUNATICS! Barrack Obama did NOTHING in his career in the SENATE, this will be the FIRST TIME IN HISTORY that someone as unqualified as he will run for the office of President after a term as Senator in which he accomplished ONE BILL! I believe it was the African Republic of the Congo in which he sponsored. I am not hear to tell you how unqualified Barrack Obama is and to tell you how he plagerized EACH and every line of his "motivating" speeches! I am HERE to tell you that a WOMAN who has given her LIFE to politics dating all the way back to her serving on the NIXON IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS was ROBBED of the OPPORTUNITY to be the FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT in history! The MEDIA drove this entire process into the ground from the beginning. IT makes me wonder who is paying their bills? Hillary Rodham Clinton has been a champion for the underclas, women and children since she graduated HIGH SCHOOL, when Obama was learning the Quran in Indonesia as a youngster! Everytime she stepped sideways with a comment she was castigated for it and called a racist! She and Bill Clinton are FAR from RACISTS! I suggest that Obama check his associates because he is mentored by some of the WORST hate-mongers in history......John McCain is a WAR HERO, bottomline. YOU can try and minimize it but FIVE YEARS in the CUSTODY of the Hanoi Hilton in the clutches of the NORTH VIETNAMESE is FAR and away MORE than the majority of us will experience in a lifetime! I am not voting for Obama because he should NOT be rewarded by cheating, lying, skirting the issues, changing his positions, and denying reports, comments, and past relations. I know SENATOR CLINTON will be EXPECTED to endorse him, I know she is in a rock and a hard place. I know she also knows he is DANGEROUS to the country as a whole. HE will NOT get my vote! I know many who feel as I do! John McCain is NOT George Bush or even close, he is of the same party but he is a moderate, and he and Bush have disagreed on many issues. I do know that I can TRUST him on foreign relations and that is PRICELESS!
