So, Is Bill O'Reilly In The Tank for Barack Obama?

Yesterday I posted an extensive rant about the negative slant Bill O'Reilly is giving McCain items, including his unbalanced list of guests to discuss important things like energy. Last night (15 June), Obama was again presented in glowing terms while a private pro-McCain ad was pilloried by O'Reilly and his "expert" guest. The thing that really fried my wires though was O'Reilly's "Talking Points". In it he asserted that Obama kept himself above the fray on playing the race card!? WTF! (apologies to those of you who knows what that means and might be offended, but sometimes, just sometimes, that four-letter Anglo-Saxon word is the most expressive in the English language--which is why I use it rarely, so as to keep it powerful--grin)

His whole campaign is premised on race. Otherwise, why would he proclaim himself the "post-racial" candidate? Honey, when you put that 200-pound gorilla in the title of your book, you've just proclaimed it the leading character. If he'd proclaimed himself the "post-religion" candidate, do you think religion would be pushed to the forefront of the discussion? Well, duh! Can you imagine Colin Powell subscribing to that kind of cheap, divisive slogan? Me neither. He's a man of talent, accomplishment and I suspect he's like me and everyone else who thinks race is an inane thing to even think about while we're at war and our economy is being plummeted from all sides. Obama, himself, made it an issue right from the get-go.

And then when Barack threw his old white granny under the bus (I believe holding the woman who raised you up to public condemnation for remarks made over 30 years ago in private is PD low), he pretty much let us know where he stood. Then he really piled it on when he explained the tire marks on grandma when he insulted ME (wonder how he'd like it if I called him "a typical black man").

Oh, and I'd say his belonging to a church that pretty much thrives on racial divide and class warfare tells us most of what we need to know about Obama's views. I mean, would YOU join a church without knowing its theology and specific beliefs? He joined Reverend Wright's church as an adult and either Obama knew what he was joining or he was the only person in Chicago who didn't know where Wright stood in the matter of racial politics.

Finally, apparently Mr. O'Reilly thinks Obama's statement that all Republicans are race baiters and haters is staying above the fray. Accusing people of racism is not just an Obama "card"--it's his whole stinking deck.

So. Am I the only one who's noticed that O'Reilly's "no spin" is moving counter-clockwise these days?

OOOOPS---make "15 June" "24 June"--wishful thinking on my part

O'Reilly's statement about Obama "looking out for all the folks"

Here it is folks. Notice that he identifies Imus as a McCain supporter (well, we don't want to let a chance roll by where we can't point out that Republicans/McCain supporters are knuckle-dragging thugs who dropped out of school after kindergarten)....

Mr. O'Reilly on Obama's superior ethics and attitude:

"Imus is a McCain supporter. So you'd think the far-left loons at Media Matters would want to get him again. But no.

"Talking Points" can't be sure, but is very suspicious. And the only explanation that makes sense, the only one that makes sense, is that any national controversy about race doesn't help Barack Obama.

The senator has been very smart not to engage in race-based politics with the exception of last Friday night, as we reported yesterday. Obama's strongest point is his message that he's looking out for all the folks and he has absolutely no racial agenda..."

O'Reilly's jumped the shark and is swimming with the piranas.

uh, oh, O'reilly's tasted

uh, oh, O'reilly's tasted the Kool-Ade. Obama has no racial agenda? What a joke!

Wow he was bashing him a little while ago

What is up with O'Reiley? He was really blasting Obama a few weeks ago. I do not understand that. I sure hope he didn't drink the kool aid.

SO Disturbing

This is really disturbing about O'Reilly. I knew Rupert Murdoch supported Obama but O'Reilly was on the factor just a couple of weeks ago giving an impassioned speech about how other newspeople had sold out -how it was wrong - how nobody at Fox News has EVER told him what to say or how to say it- and if they did he'd be out of there.
It's hard to believe he genuinely likes Obama- I suspect he is serving the agenda of others.
I've never been much of an O'Reilly fan (I'm a Hannity girl) and could never put my finger on why - if what you guys are saying is not exaggerated (and sadly, I don't think it is) I think my gut instinct about him was right. Will have to watch for myself-but can't bring myself to do it tonight (he's on right now, but I'm in a good mood and don't want to spoil it)
I can't imagine Hannity ever going in the tank for Obama! Going to watch him in a bit - I hear Mike Huckabee's on tonight!

O'Reilly's pro-Obama performance last night (25 June)

So last night he had Dennis Miller on (bless Dennis Miller), who tore Obama a new one for his Republicans are all racists remarks (and he used the card imagry to call Obama a croupier). O'Reilly tells us that that comment by Obama "didn't offend me..." Well, OK--which tells ME, Mr. O'Reilly, that you're one of those who believes Obama should not be held accountable for ANYTHING he says or does, as long as he gets elected. No matter that Obama agregiously insulted anyone who has an "R" after their name or anyone who would look at the issues and say this man is one of the most hate-mongering candidates who ever ran. O'Reilly's "folks" who need looking out for obviously don't include Republicans or John McCain supporters. (Ya think I was outraged?) We're part of the low-life, uneducated amebas (sp) who cling to our guns and religion and need Obama and his brainy, compassionate friends to tell us what to think for our own good (or maybe they just want special education camps for Republicans since his supporters regularly call for our destruction--some even say "death"--after Obama takes office).

At the end of the show, he blatently affirmed what the evidence indicates. There was an article written by a New York Times gal in which she lumped O'Reilly in with Hannity (and I think Limbaugh) about their attacks on Obama. O'Reilly was ouraged because "I (we?) have never attacked Obama on this show." The scripts are not yet posted so I can't cut and paste, but if I had any doubt two days ago, it's gone today.
