Source Says McCain VP Choice Down to Pawlenty or Romney
Jim Geraghty at The Campaign Spot is reporting that a source has told him that John McCain's VP list has narrowed down to two -- Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney:
The individual who told me yesterday that he had heard McCain's pick is coming soon, and that it was Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, now tells me that McCain's list is down to Pawlenty or Mitt Romney.
I urge readers to take this with the requisite caution. Neither man's schedule has had any last-minute changes or cancellations, which to me is a leading sign of an announcement being lined up. Pawlenty is still scheduled to speak before the American Legislative Exchange Council tomorrow, and Romney is on vacation in New Hampshire until next week. (Or so the media is told.) He's also scheduled to attend the Olympics Opening Ceremonies in Beijing.)
Geraghty is very good, and I would take his source seriously. McCain may be getting close to a decision. Which do you think he should choose -- Pawlenty or Romney?

running mate
mccain is obviously hiding that he is close to a decision, i think he has already made one. The choices are not great but everyone knows Romney is the one. He brings real experience on economy, etc. There is no doubt that the democrats will be re-running clips on youtube, etc of them arguing on issues such as the economy and voting records but that's what comes along with these elections. A McCain/Romney ticket is not bad at all, but they have to show americans that they are not the same old couple of politicians. The race is close, lets keep fighting!

neither. He should choose
neither. He should choose Tom Ridge or Joe Lieberman. Or Mike Bloomberg.
Or Hillary Clinton ...? Naw I guess not. Too bad.
