I wonder why Guiliani was selected as keynote speaker -
He did not win any states at all in the primaries. Isn't a strong primary contender usually selected for this speaking position? Curious!

If McCain can carry NY,
he'll win without a doubt.

I'm from NY, McCain will never win here.

I tend to agree that Big Mac will not carry NY. But IF Big Mac chooses Mike Bloomberg; and IF BHO dopes NOT choose Hillary; and IF the national discussion continues to emphasize oil drilling and national security, then Big Mac can make it VERY close in NY and force BHO to spend time & effort there.
Obviously that's a LOT of if's.
I've just seen the latest polls in NY
and Obama is ahead of McCain by almost 20%. So, if McCain has virtually no chance to win NY (it is typically blue), then, why do you think Guiliani was chosen as the keynote speaker? I'm just curious. I find Guiliani an unusual selection for the keynote speaker - he is not a very good speaker at all. He won no states and had a flop of a strategy during the primaries. Mass_Mouth has added that his role in the aftermath of 9/11 could be a factor. What do you think, makingthecasefo? I just think there must be some motivation for choosing Guiliani, and I wonder what it is.
