Town Hall Meeting, Denver
My 10 yo daughter and I attended the town hall meeting held in Denver today. Sen. McCain was excellent and I was so happy to be there. Despite rumors to the contrary, he is on his game and he DOES NOT screen questions or attendees. Let me explain. I am an independent. I voted for McCain in the 2000 presidential primary. I did not think this year's republican nominee would be acceptable, and was behind Sen. Clinton. I was delighted when Sen. McCain became the presumptive nominee, and deciding to vote for him after the DNC ordained the empty suit Obama was a no-brainer. I was so happy when I discovered he would be here in Denver today so I could see him in person.
Sen. McCain delivered a flawless opening speech, and handled each question (from a "friendly" or not), with great class. We were welcomed warmly, what with my daughter in her Hillary T-shirt, which she later adorned with a McCain for President and NoBama button. Sen McCain nailed his policy positions. My favorite part was his reference to Obama's "seal" that said "yes we can", which should say "no we can't" (referencing becoming energy independent".
Myself and mine are proud to support hero John McCain this November. He is the man!
