Who complements Sen. McCain's ticket the best? Gov. Huckabee or Gov. Romney?
Have you ever looked at one of the maps of county-by-county Primary Vote Results? They tell the story very clearly.
1) Huckabee dominated the rural areas.
2) McCain dominated the urban areas.
3) Romney competed with McCain for the urban areas and couldn't even touch the rural areas.
Between the 3 of them, the 2 who would complement each other the best is McCain and Huckabee. e.g. Missouri

As an added bonus, Clinton voters will be easier to "pick off" this election, so McCain would be wise pick someone who is strong in her geographical areas. If you look, you will see that Obama and Clinton shared the same dynamic. Clinton dominated the rural areas and Obama took the urban areas.
It should be very obvious. If McCain picks Huckabee, HE WILL DEFINITELY WIN.

That is what I keep saying.
That is what I keep saying. Why isn't the GOP listening to us? Ole Hanity is so sure he is right he won't even listen to the other side. Obama is imploding, McCain is a great guy and running a wonderful campaign. He has done a wonderful job winning over those that were turned off to him in the beginning, ie Me, the talk radio listeners of the world. Though I do admit that I no longer listen after the way Huckabee was treated. I am no longer a party loyalist. I always respected McCain, even when I didn't agree with him. McCain will loose his maverick image if he chooses Romney. I didn't want Huckabee on the ticket because I didn't think it was good for Huckabee himself, but over the last week or two, that has changed. Not only could the two men win this election, they can govern without having to answer to the broken GOP.
Huckabee will help most
The areas that Gov. Huckabee did the best in contested races are the areas that must be won by the GOP to secure the win. With the contrast of who is ready to lead between Obama/Biden and McCain/?; it would be good to have someone with numerous years of political chief executive experience working with a Democrat majority. Gov. Huckabee has served a lifetime of leading in positions where he is not the boss - the people are. Gov. Huckabee realizes that his job is only secure if the people are satisfied with it. That is an advantage of some CEO type that is used to having their orders obeyed or tell them "your fired" - which is totally opposite of the political world.
As noted above; Sen. McCain beat the contested competition in the largely populated areas. Gov. Huckabee beat the competition in contested small towns and rural areas where people have the tendency to "cling to guns and religion." That tells me Gov. Huckabee will be the best choice; because they can both campaign in the areas they are best in. Sen. McCain can also call on Gov. Huckabee to help in areas with high black and/or youth voters; because Gov. Huckabee appeals to both of those groups, too.
Gov. Huckabee would definitely be able to hold his own against Sen. Biden in the VP debate. A very good blog article was posted by a black fellow Huck's Army member. Please read, "A Democrats Nightmare" written by The Values Voter.

McCain/Huckabee to "save '08"
These are the Reagan Democrats.
These are the Reagan Democrats. On 8/8/08, in Rogers, AR, Sen. McCain talked about these people and stated that they are also known as "Clinton Democrats".
These people are farmer, welders, and blue collar workers. When they cross over to vote for a Republican, landslides happen!
Ask Ed Rollins - he was the campaign manager for President Ronald Reagan's 49 state crush in 1984! (Of course, he's now been working as Gov. Huckabee's campaign manager.)
